What computers should I get?
I am going off to college somewhat soon and I am going to sell my huge 17" Macbook Pro for and Ultrabook(For College. Most likely a College of Arts and Sciences and a major in Computer Science. I want to be an Application dev) and a desktop. Now I was considering a few choices but I really can not decide. They all look like go alternatives.
-Apple Macbook Air+Low-end Apple 27"iMac
-Apple Macbook Air+High-end Apple 21" iMac
-Google Chromebook Pixel+Cheap desktop to run Windows, Ubuntu, and another distro.(Triple Boot)
-Dell XPS 13 Developer Edition+Cheap desktop for same purposes above.
-Other, I am fairly open at this point.

Goto a shop near you then find out these and tryout some:
Laptop :
1. Small, carry able
2. long battery life
Desktop :
1. Process with Core i7
2. other parts can be cheap no problem
Before buy or sell anything, try to learn how to code on some programming language. It will help you to decide what to buy.

If you get an Air and an iMac. Get the smaller 11" Air. The benefit of the air is that it is portable. If you aren't carrying the laptop a lot, get a Macbook Pro (non-retina) and max out the RAM and install an SSD. You can forgo the second computer by getting an external monitor to hook up to the Macbook Pro.
