How to learn how to tune a guitar?

I've been playing the guitar for 5 years not regularly and not perfectly just the basic chords but everytime I have to ask someone to tune the guitar for me and its really embarassing. I try to tune it its just so hard. please help

    the strings starting from your lowest string are e,a,d,g,b,e just download a tuning app from the App Store, and it will give u the pitch of each string then u can tune the string based on that note, it's how I tune mine, hope this helped! :D

    There're several ways to tune guitar.

    The basic type is to tune lower E string with metronome (if you want to tune rest strings by pitch). Then press 5th fret on lower E string. Play lower E string and A string (right under the E). The lower E string and open A string must sound the same. That way your A string will be tuned quite good. The same goes for all rest strings. (press 5th fret on a and play it together with D string). Only third G string on the 4th fret sounds the same with second B string.
