Agnostic and want a pillow to rest my head?

You are yet another illustration that most people would rather be wrong and feel good about it, than be right and feel bad about it.

You KNOW that supernatural beings do not exist, you KNOW science is the only human construct that will ever provide explanations for what we do not yet understand, yet you WANT to believe in something for which you have no proof or evidence.

I'm not saying this to offend or insult you. It's a very human trait, probably bred into us through evolution, that as we became aware of our own mortality, so we also had to invent an outside reason to go on with life despite the apparent futility of it all.

Maybe at some point we will all come to recognize that if we each give our own lives meaning, we won't need to spend all our time searching for something or someone else to give it meaning for us.

Then go to Walmart and buy a pillow. They don't cost that much.

You might try liberal Christianity. There's no conflict between science and religion unless you take things literally that were meant as figurative.
