i need fraction help please?

If you only have a 1/7 measuring cup and a recipe calls for 6 3/7 cups of flour, how many 1/7 cups would you need to use?

    6 3/7 ÷ 1/7

    45/7 ÷ 1/7

    45/7 * 7/1

    315/7

    = 45 cups

    42+3=45

    to convert a mixed number into an improper fraction you multiply the denominator (or bottom) of the fraction by the whole number then add it to the numerator (or top)
