There are eight references in New Testament to the “book of life,” and two of them refer specifically to the book of life that belongs to the Lamb, Jesus Christ. Seven of the references appear in the book of Revelation. Those whose names are written in the book of life are those who belong to God, those who have attained eternal life.
Paul refers to those who have labored alongside him as those whose names are in the book of life (Philippians 4:3), again identifying the book of life as a record of the names of those who have eternal salvation. In the same way, Revelation 3:5 refers to the book of life in which the names of believers in the Lord are found. These are those who overcome the trials of earthly life, proving that their salvation is genuine. This verse also makes it clear that once a name is written in the book of life, Jesus promises that He will never blot it out, proving once more the doctrine of eternal security. The Lord Jesus, who is speaking to the churches in this part of Revelation, promises to acknowledge his own before His Father. Conversely, Revelation 20:15 reveals the fate of those whose names are not written in the book of life—eternity in the lake of fire.
In Revelation 13:8 and 21:27, we find the references to the "Lamb's book of life," in which also are the names of all those who have been washed by the blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ. The Lamb who has been “slain from the creation of the world” has a book in which are written all those who have been redeemed by His sacrifice. They are the ones who will enter the Holy City, the New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:10) and who will live forever in heaven with God. Since the book of life is that which records all who have eternal life through the Lamb, it’s clear that the book of life and the Lamb’s book of life are one and the same.

The book of life is the entire Bible, which is written to you and for you to bring you to faith in Jesus.
The Lamb's book is a listing of all those who have made that decision and who know that Jesus is their Savior, and Lord. It is for the Lamb, or the Lord Jesus, as a book of memorial. His own know Him, and He knows his own.
The Word of God, which is the Bible, is also represented by the person of Jesus, the Living Word. To really explain it all would take a long, long time. Try reading Psalm 119 to get an appreciation of the "Word".
Another difficulty is that the Law is not enough on its own to get us right with God, We learn that we cannot keep the law on our own but require both forgiveness for our failures, and empowerment to do what is required of us to live holy lives...from the LORD.
There is another book of remembrance spoken of in the last few chapters of the "old testament". When faithful people speak of the Lord, and of His Word....their conversations are recorded faithfully and kept for a remembrance before the Lord. Check it out !

It is the same. The book of the life of the Lamb that was slain for us. It is to tell us that all Christians who were beheaded for their faith are alive with the Lord and will be given life again

Book of life = everyone who has ever lived. Lamb's book of life = believers in Jesus Christ.
P.S. Just FYI, no "s" in Revelation.

The book of life is the Lamb's book of life. The addition of the term "Lamb" in some cases only clarifies that Jesus Christ, who is the Lamb of God, is the one who is in charge of this book and he determines whose names are written inside.
That would be the same as saying "Jesus the Son of God" or "Jesus the Son of the Living God". It is the same Jesus, term "living" is only added as an extra point to clarify that God is not dead, he is surely alive.

Like so many other things in the Bible, it's open to interpretation. Some Christian sources with tell you that there is no difference. While others will produce a long list of differences.

In the judgment scene at Revelation 20:11-15, during Christ’s Millennial Reign “the scroll of life” is shown as opened to receive additional names; scrolls of instruction are also opened. Those who come back in the ‘resurrection of the unrighteous’ will thus have the opportunity of having their names written on “the scroll of life,” provided they obediently perform deeds that are in harmony with the scrolls of instruction. (Ac 24:15) Of course, faithful servants of God who come back in the ‘resurrection of the righteous’ will already have their names in “the scroll of life.” By their loyal obedience to the divine instructions, they will keep their names in it.
How does a person get his name permanently retained in “the book of life”? For those who are in line to receive heavenly life, it is by ‘conquering’ this world through faith, proving themselves “faithful even to death.” (Re 2:10; 3:5) For those who are in line to receive life on earth, it is by proving loyal to Jehovah through a final, decisive test at the end of Christ’s Millennial Reign. (Re 20:7, 8) Those who maintain integrity through that final test will have their names retained permanently by God in “the book of life,” Jehovah thus acknowledging that they are righteous in the complete sense and worthy of the right to everlasting life on earth.—Ro 8:33.
“The Lamb’s scroll.”
“The scroll of life of the Lamb” is a separate scroll, apparently containing only the names of those with whom the Lamb, Jesus Christ, shares his Kingdom rule, including those still on earth who are in line to receive heavenly life. (Re 13:8; compare Re 14:1, 4.) Those enrolled in “the Lamb’s scroll” are spoken of as entering the holy city, New Jerusalem, thus becoming part of the heavenly Messianic Kingdom. (Re 21:2, 22-27) Their names are written both in “the Lamb’s scroll” and in the other scroll, God’s “book of life.”—Php 4:3; Re 3:5.

They are the same book.
You get your name written in there when you accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour.
To do that, follow these instructions:
