My chihuahua has bladder stones........please help?

2 weeks ago my dog peed blood on my carpet.......i took her to the emergency vet right away. She had an xray where there was several stones in the bladder, different sizes, and a couple large ones. The doc prescribed her with a special diet and antibiotics. 2 weeks later and she still pees blood and frequently. How long does it take to dissolve these stones??? Now im worried that its those calcium ones

You need to follow up with your regular vet because x-rays will need to be done to see how well the food is working. If you don't have a regular vet then now is the time to find one. It's possible your dog will need to have surgery to remove the stones.

I hope she gets straightened out soon because those little buggers are painful. I'd also ask about a pain med for her.

I would go back to the vet. Also ensure that the food you are feeding is grain free and contains antioxidants and make sure if you feed dry food to also feed wet food. Halo's grain free wet food is a good choice. Avoid anything with corn, artificial dyes, flavorings, or preservatives.
