How should we treat the new figures given by Alex Salmond on the oil revenue.?

only a week ago it was not good news given by the finance secretary John Swinney.I won't go into the figures simply to say depending on who you believe it turns out mebbies aye and mebbies no. now the greens who support independence are begining to disbelieve the snp government Last week doom this week boom.

Update:

@firetrap you mention D Cameron on his position on oil I have never supported the tories on anything they say, it is my interest in what i am being asked to vote on independence The people of Scotland need to know without the flowery language The Scottish government can not keep chopping and changing just to favour opinions ,I have said before the people are able to digest the good with the bad as long as it is told with sincerity When we feel we are being played by any body that includes Cameron see how he was left with only one M P. the voter decides in the end .

Update 2:

With the contempt they deserve. as ever Salmond will say whatever is necessary to achieve his objective irrespective of its relationship to the truth.

Well, with as much belief as the ones from Westminsters, add both projections up and divide by 2 and you'll have the true figure most likely.

Westminster have been playing oil down since the 70's, that clear for anybody to see. Salmond will always talk it up but he probably will over hype it a bit, but lets be honest we have no way of knowing as Cameron will always under value it as a scare tactic so his opinion is void. Salmond has always been good for Scotland and honest but recently hes been trying to play his hand close to his chest for obvious reasons and of course any pro union mob will do anything to sabotage that, like that report you mention, i read it cover to cover twice and i don't see any negatives in it, clearly lines where highlighted and biased notes added for people who are to lazy to read it or not interested in the report, to be fed what ever they wanted them to be fed from it. If the report was so bad why did somebody go to the trouble of adding notes, and highlighting specific lines, not paragraphs? surely it would have spoke for itself?

Edit: Exactly why i said Salmonds figures should be treated the same as Cameron's, one will over hype other will dismiss it so take the average of their figures at that estimate would be closer to the true value
