Given f(x)=x^2+x find the values of a for which f''(a)=f(a)?

    I used x instead of a but its he same thing.

    f'(x)=2x+1

    f"(x)=2

    So when does f(x)=f"(x) is the same as when does f(x)=2. When does x^2+x=2.

    This becomes a quadratic x^2+x-2=0.

    Now just solve the quadratic and you'll have your answer.
