What can you do as a civilian to help during a war?

Aside from volunteering for the Red Cross and giving blood, what can a regular civilian do to help during active wars? Or are there really not many options and better to just continue on your life regularly?

When you see a veteran or an active service member, give him or her a big thanks. It helps a lot.

There are many things a civilian can do to help. You can support the military in everything you do. You can write letters, send care packages, greet returning military, talk to those who would know and offer some time to spell the mother or father who is home with the children. You can get a job with the DOD...somewhere...anywhere and be in direct support of the military.

I have said it before and probably will again. You don't have to have a patch on your arm to have honor....and you don't need to be in the military to serve the military.

Thank current and former servicemen and women for their service to our country. Be patriotic, show love for your country. Honor those that laid down their lives protecting our rights.

Send care packages full of hard to get items like crystal light, razors, treats, magazines, etc.

Dont worry by summer you'll be doing your part by paying for over priced goods that have become unaffordable luxuries.
