I have noticed this for the last few days also. I was using IE9 and cleared cache to make sure that wasn't part of the problem. It did not help.
I was able to resolve today. In the address bar of IE9 there are 3 symbols on the right-hand side. The middle one controls the compatibility view. I clicked that (it went from color to gray) and the problems went away for me. Based on some things I saw, it may have been a problem with one of the E-trade adds that is running. But Yahoo should have been able to diagnose this in a few days and get it fixed!!
By the way, there was no problem in Google Chrome. That is how I knew for sure it was related to IE.
