Who are some of your favorite artists from your area who have made it big?

Slipknot/Stone Sour, 311, Emphatic

I live in Council Bluffs, Iowa. About 200 miles from Des Moines (where Slipknot is from) and right across the river from Omaha, Nebraska (where 311 and Emphatic are from)

Of them, Slipknot is the only band I like much.

That's where I live now. I grew up in Toledo, Ohio. You can pick any one of the hundreds of artists that are from Detroit (which is an hour's drive to the north).

Bon Jovi, My Chemical Romance, The Lumineers, Back Street Boys, THe Ramones, Dog Eat Dog, but alot of my other fav bands are from other places

For me is Blink-182. My older brother used to hang out with the guitarist here in Poway, CA!! (San Diego area).

The beatles before their days of fame used to go to the same bar which my grandpa used to hang around in Liverpool.

my cousin knew marcus mumford at school, and i've met him a few times, so yeah i guess those guys
