Physics question, direction and strength of the magnetic field?
As shown in the figure below, a potential difference of 0.050 V is developed across a 8 cm long wire as it moves at 5.7 m/s in the direction indicated by the green arrow through a region in which there is a magnetic field perpendicular to the axis of the wire.

E = (v x B)*L since the wire is perpendicular to the field, this is E = v*B*L; B = E/(v*L)
E = 0.050 V
v = 5.7 m/s
L = 0.08 m
B = 0.11 T
