  • Partial derivative with respect to y of g(x,y) = x*e^y?

I'm unsure of whether this derivative is equal to x*e^y, or x*e^y + e^y.

    Is this equation different from the deriving the equation x = x*e^y => dx/dy = x*e^y?

Is x treated as a constant in this situation? I think I'm just generally confused on the difference between partial derivatives and regular derivatives. Can someone please explain?

  • Where to buy a chastity cage in New York City?

I'm looking for a decent chastity cage that I can buy in the city. I've got roommates, so having something mailed to me is a bit risky and I'd rather not deal with that. I can go into the city by myself on occasion though, but the few adult toy stores I managed to visit did not stock them. Can anyone recommend a store that does sell cages? At this point I'm not too picky on the type of cage, or the type of store. Cost isn't really an issue either. Help is much appreciated!

  • Do you know the name of this movie?

I remember exactly one scene of this movie, from when I was really young, so it was in theaters probably around 2000-2005, give or take a few years. In the movie, I believe they are trying to erase a man's memory. They show a computer screen that shows cells, and everything on the screen is colored some shade of green. A probe of some kind goes in and destroys a few of the cells. They wake the man up and ask him what is the last date he remembers. He replies August 18th.

Please, this memory has stuck with me for some reason and I have never been able to find the source. What was the movie called?

  • Physics laser slit question?

Two narrow slits are 0.12 mm apart. Light of wavelength 503 nm illuminates the slits, causing an interference pattern on a screen 1.0 m away. Light from each slit travels to the m = 2 maximum on the right side of the central maximum. How much farther did the light from the left slit travel than the light from the right slit?

  • Physics question, direction and strength of the magnetic field?

As shown in the figure below, a potential difference of 0.050 V is developed across a 8 cm long wire as it moves at 5.7 m/s in the direction indicated by the green arrow through a region in which there is a magnetic field perpendicular to the axis of the wire.

  • Name of an old video game?

Hi, I'm looking for what I believe to be the first video game I ever played. I was very young, but remember playing a hand held game on it's own console. The back light was bright yellow, and the only pixels that could turn on were black. The resolution wasn't great by today's standards of course, but this must have been from somewhere around 1999-2002. The game involved controlling a plane moving forward and bombing the buildings below you for points, as well as shooting things in front of you by moving side to side and pressing two different buttons. If I remember right, which I may not, the hand held device itself was black, maybe white. Can you tell me the name of this game, what it looked like in its earliest form, and where I might find one now?

  • Roman Colosseum, Specific Dimensions?

Hi, I'm trying to build a 3 dimensional model of the Roman Colosseum, can anyone find me a website or source that has specific dimensions of the building? And by specific I mean everything that can be found, the thickness of the walls, the height of the interior arena, and if possible even materials. Thanks

  • How to put a random number in the URL bar?

I'm bored, and surfing through an image posting site, and to make it interesting I want to do it completely at random. The site doesn't have a 'random post' button, but the format of each url link is '..../view/XXXX' where the x's are the post number. I've tried using a random number generator, then copying and pasting the number into the url, but it's too slow. Is there a way for me to input a random number (with a floor and a cap) directly into the url? I mean can I write something like '..../view/randInt()' ?

If not, is there a way I could write a program to do this for me? I know some basic java, if that could help me, but I'm open to learning new languages, I'm just not sure how I can get a program to edit a text bar in a separate program, namely a web browser. Thanks in advance

  • How can I get a paypal account without my parent's knowing?

My parents are a little overprotective, and wouldn't allow me to get money for my art over the internet. That being said, I need a way to collect payment for commissions and donations, in a way that is discreet and not connected to any credit card. I also need this account to be safe for a few years, until I can access it later when I'm older and out of the house.

Please don't say anything about "just tell your parents and they'll understand", because you don't know them, and they are complete control freaks. Also, don't say I'm too young, because I'm really not.

  • Write in completely factored form: (2x-y)^6 -64x^6?

This is a question on my problem set, I'm supposed to factor it completely.

My answer is (4x-y)(4x^2 -2xy+y^2)(-y(12x^2 +2xy +y^2) but I must have made a mistake somewhere because they don't match up. I began by taking the difference of two perfect squares, and then having to multiply the difference of two perfect cubes by the sum of two perfect cubes. It is very possible there is a mistake in my work, please help

  • how can i find out if my friend is gay?

I'm a guy, I'm bi, maybe gay, idk dont judge me. I have this friend who is really cute and shy, and he has never had a girlfriend. I've known him since 3rd grade (we're in tenth now btw) and I have a lot of reasons to be suspicious, but then I also have a few why he might not be. My question is, how can I find out if he is gay, without coming out myself? And don't say just ask him, he could just lie and say he's straight.
