KIFIN-130314: Why can't I access Yahoo! Finance?!?
Description: Some customers are unable to access Yahoo! Finance. This includes their portfolios, news and other features of Yahoo! Finance.
Current Status: UNRESOLVED
Workaround: At this time customers using Internet Explorer should try using compatibility view, as this seems to fix it for most customers. Further, we've been unable to replicate on Firefox or Chrome so switching to those browsers should also allow you to access Yahoo! Finance.

Same problem - started with finance home page on 3/12/13 - appears to eat up memory so freezes.

Same issue for several days - quite disapointing!
operating system/version: Windows 7/Version: Win 7 for x64 based systems, last update KB2791765
browser/version: Internet Explorer 9/ Version: 9.0.8112.16421
Unlike what may have been stated above, the site misbehavior happens in compatibility view as well.

Yahoo Finance is causing ie 8.0 to stop responding on desktop. Error at end of page message. Finance appears to lead okey but at the end the busy bar starts to move for a second time, then freezes.'Not responding' message seend. Page lcoks on screen. Two copies of yahoo finance are seen running ... and not responding ..in task manager. Error reports sent to microosoft.
Finance works okay on Lenovo G560 and 580 laptops running xp.
Issue arose only several days ago.

Having same issue with Yahoo Finance freezing up on computer running Windows 7 - IE9. The issue seems to have started shortly after the "new" Yahoo (disliked) homepage change. Not having the freeze up issue when using firefox or google. Please find fix for Yahoo Finance freeze up issue..

IE8 64bit, Win7
IE freezes from time to time when trying to access Yahoo Finance page. Displays "Error on Page" at bottom left corner of IE window. Directly clicking the "x" at top right of IE window sometimes kiils the IE window, other times doesn't. Somtimes the "x' area just doesn't seem to accept clicking.
Right click on the IE icon on left side of task bar most of the time allows killing of the IE session by clicking the "x" in the thumb window that pops up.

I have same problem..using IE and Windows 7. It only freezes up when I access the home page. If I access an individual stock page from a previously saved favorite, then I am able to navigate the site, but returning to home page will freeze it again.

I am experiencing same problem and been experienced it for more than a month; I am running Windows XP Professional, Version 2002, Service Pack 3 and Internet Explorer 8.0.6001.187021C.

Install all current important Microsoft updates and then install Internet Explorer 10. Finance is not freezing now, using Win7 and IE10.
