My dr. says my uterus is tilted forward?
so badly that it is difficult for her to do pap smears. Usually it takes a couple of times to get a good smear. I've read that usually a tilted uterus doesn't cause problems but I have pain that feels like something pushing thru my stomach, urinary stress incontinence, and frequent bladder infections, also hard to keep tampon in. Can a tilted uterus cause all of this? What is the best treatment?

An estimated 20% of women have the same condition as yours. A lot of these can cause problems like bladder infections and urinary incontinence for women and may even affect their fertility. The best thing to do is talk to a specialist. He may recommend ways of treating your condition which may include surgery. To learn more about this, you may want to search "tilted uterus" in google.

There are 3 positions that a uterus can be in: tilted forward, upright, and tilted back.
from what I've read about it, all are normal. But, there are cases where the tilt can be extreme, and it can cause problems. Some women get surgery, to have it corrected.
