Will the Vikings miss Percy Harvin?

I know he wasn't healthy his entire time in Minnesota but he still had a huge role for them and helped us win a lot of games. I'm still wondering why they even trade him? I know we got a first rounder out of the deal but still. We probably won't be able find someone like him unless we get a huge pick up in FA. Plus. The Vikings waived Antonio Winfield. Who also had a big year for the team last year. I'm not sure what we're doing after we made the postseason.

Ok, i'm a vikings fan too and i'll break down the situation for you, Harvin was without a doubt a great player, with his speed agility tenacity and hands he is a great receiver. But the kid was a little punk who thought he was the best when he missed a game every year except one, and it's bad to have a player like that on your team. He was poison in the locker room, and he had multiple "heated exchanges" with our head coach. And if we didnt trade him he might have held out and not played with us anyway, we were lucky to get the deal we did. So now we might sign Greg Jennings today or tomorrow so that gives us a well behaved leader who can play quite well. then we have to depend on Rick Spielman to draft well which he always does (he drafted Adrian Peterson, Sidney Rice, Brian Robinson, John Sullivan, Percy Harvin, Phil Loadholt, Chris Cook, Kyle Rudolph). So i think with our 13 picks we will get alot of talent, including 3 wide receivers, so i think by next season we will have forgot about that headache

(BREAKING NEWS----VIKINGS AND GREG JENNINGS AGREE ON DEAL) as i was typing

NOt really they made the playoffs at the end of the season without him anyway

Unless u overpay for an old Greg Jennings than no huge free agent pick up...But a good wr in the draft that can handle the short-intermediate routes would fit you guys well like say tavon austin or even coredelle paterson

That whole division is up in the air...I think the bears will be a mediocre team; the Lions are too good offensively to be NFL bottom dwellers again; The Pack have Rodgers and the Vikes have AP its very hard to estimate now But i predict them fighting GB for the division probably 9 or 10 wins

They will miss him a great deal. He is an amazing player.

I don't think we should expect a huge FA pickup. I think Jennings would be good but he is not what I would call a huge pickup unless they get someone else to tandem with him and I don't see it. Jennings and someone like Cruz would be outstanding but I don't see it because the Giants are not gonna let him get away.

They will be about the same as last year record wise. They will be young and will struggle at times but I think GB the Bears and Detroit all showed weakness last year and haven't done a lot or enough to improve. Will help Vikes.

He was the best, well really the ONLY, WR they had. And Ponder needs all the help he can. Their D is aging and losing Winfield hurt a bunch. I do not think they can depend on another huge year by Peterson.

Vikes end up 7-9 maybe 8-8 at best.

The negatives outweighed the positives with Harvin for the Vikings. It was the right move to trade him for picks.

Not if they can pick up a couple of good free agents or good draft picks, but they shouldn't use too many draft picks on a WR. If they cannot do either of those, then yes they will miss him.
