Is there a phrase or term for a good thing that end up dooming someone?
For example, a musician releases an incredibly successful album, but then can never live up to the high expectations set by that first album.
Or a baseball player hits his first home run and then loses many fundamental skills because he's swinging for the fences every time.
I know there's a term for this. What is it?
