Comic relief does support some British Charities
http://www.comicrelief.com/how-we-help. As the highest cost will always be aid to Africa I suppose most of the aid will go to African projects.
I'm not a supporter of Comic relief such charities can do more harm than good. there is little point in providing clean water and vaccines unless that aid is going to be supported with trade initiatives and infrastructure allowing the growing population to trade its way out of poverty.

Comic Relief contributes to schemes and projects that help people all over the world including Britain.
Any organisation that aims to provide assistance to those in need, is bound to appear to work predominantly in areas such as Africa. This is because areas such as Africa tend to present most obvious and urgent need.
I note this question has been asked from America. The whole world was shocked by the events of 911 in 2001. We watched the news coverage in horror, and felt a deep and genuine sympathy for the people lost, and the families who grieved. Just under 3,000 of them.
Just between 2002 and 2006, 5,000 children in Africa died every day (that;s 4 years of 911's on a daily basis). All of those children were under the age of 5. So that's not including all those older than 5. This doesn't even include all those under 5 either... because this only accounts for those who died of PREVENTABLE causes!!! Diseases that we in Europe and America can cure for pennies. Easily.
If you genuinely think that some children are more important than others... then go ahead and criticise Comic Relief. Whether intended or not... your question suggests that you think otherwise.
