So,then when you decide how you want to rank your categories,you build your team around them;If homers & r.b.i.s are at the top of your list make your team extremely strong in those categories;And if whip & era are at the bottom of your list DON'T WORRY much about whip & era (whip & era are usually at the bottom of my list.)..

This year I'm building my teams around 1.homers 2.r.b.i.s 3.Ks 4.steals 5.runs 6.saves 7.Ws 8.batting average 9.era 10.whip

So,I want a lot of power hitters,speedsters,closers,and high K SPs.

I can accomplish this by drafting 8 hitters & 2 high K SP aces in the 1st 10 rounds in any order.Then once I get my starting offensive lineup complete,including utiliuty,utility is very important,I focus mainly,almost solely on high K SPs & closers.You don't need any offensive backups,2 at the most;Because to produce the maximum Ks & saves you need large quantities of SPs & closers.

Your starting offense should be HIGH QUALITY HITTERS,your SPs & closers should be a HIGH QUANTITY.

No. Don't take a pitcher in the frst round. Draft strstegies in baseball vary by person andd is completely different than football. Third base, first base, and catcher are absolutely loaded. I would be comfortable waiting until the 8th or 9th round for guys like Ike Davis, Pablo Sandoval, and Salvador Perez over Pujols, Longoria, and Posey in the first and second.

The hardest positions to fill are second base, short stop, and outfield are the hardest positions. Tulo is probably the most valuable player in this draft because of his level of production at SS. The only other guy would be Cano at 2nd, but 2nd also has Kinsler, Pedroia, and Phillips floating around in the 2nd to 4th rounds. But my middle infield is what I lock up first, then I hit the Outfield and pitchers at the same time.

You should take a pitcher in the first 5 rounds but one is enough. You can get value pitchers all over (Medlen in the 9th).

My first few rounds in 10 team leagues usually looks like this:

1) Tulowitzki

2) Kershaw

3) Pedroia, Kinsler/Holliday

4) Bruce/Phillips

5) Wainwright, Gio Gonzalez/Austin Jackson

etc. etc.

That's my personal strategy. Like I said, it varie by person and strategy. I love value picks though and I am conident enough in them to fully rely on them.
