How can I do the ACE Hardward "Find Your Soul Paint" picture with Photoshop or Photoshop Elements?
There is a Facebook app that's supposed to do it for you: https://www.facebook.com/acehardware/app_197581477... but it's so demanding it crashes my browser. But since I have both Photoshop and Photoshop Elements, I should be able to do it myself with just a couple of layers of filters, right?
I tried a layer filled with the color I wanted ("Lucky Charm 1062") set to Hue mode and it didn't quite give me the result I wanted. Any suggestions?

Did you try other blend modes? First, make sure you desaturate the subject to make it black and white. (I guess you can isolate the open mouth(s), if want). Then, apply that solid color silhouette that you have in 'Multiply' mode, not 'Hue' mode. It should look about the same as those ads. There doesn't seem to be that much to it, really.
