Red, you are correct about using a cross-reference chart but LT180 is the mower model not the filter number. Find a WIX filter dealer or a NAPA store and have them cross reference your John Deere part number. NAPA filters are made by WIX and are cheaper than John Deere. The oil filters are specific to the particular engine used on your mower ( Kohler, Briggs & Stratton, etc.).

I've a 2004 John Deere LT190 with a Kawaski 18 HP V-Twin Engine Code # FH580V-AS04-R and the J Deere Oil Filter #AM107423 and i determined that a FRAM Oil Filter PH4967 is that special suit and i have been utilizing them for roughly 5yrs now with out a problem and i alter my oil & filter, spark plugs, fuel filter and air cleaners ever year for the of the up coming mowing season

John Deere doesn't even list an oil filter with that number. However, to answer your question, if you google Fram Cross Reference , most JD filters will cross to a Fram number. The number you gave It 180 does not come up on the JD parts look up or Fram.

call Lordco or another supply company and ask for a replacement brand for your JD filter. Most are happy to help. Automotive stores are another option, Heavy duty repair shops that is.

Check Stens filters, they make them to fix most small engines and are usually quiet a bit cheaper than JB BS etc.
