Without Godly & Biblical rule...?

Question

Wouldn't we all just be running around killing & raping each other? As there would otherwise be no rule saying that this behavior is wrong? Or, like an atheist, would you just understand that this kind of behavior is wrong and not act on it as a matter of pure & common decency? Do you need a book which is 2,000 years old to tell you this, and one which condones it based on behaviour (see the book of judges, quite happy to advocate the use of rape to control people, yet forgotten about as soon as its brought up in church)

For example, Muslim men believe that Muslim women should wear a khimār or shaylah covering their entire bodies. WHY? Are you so insecure in yourself that you can't behave yourselves if a woman even so much as shows an ankle? This wasn't God's idea, it was yours. God wants you to procreate after all. 

This question is not designed for atheist's, as atheist's have an understanding of right & wrong without prejudice. It's more about the religious who need a scripture or book to tell them right from wrong and maybe can't understand that rape & violence are wrong unless they are told so by their holy book. Even it tell's them it's excusable ffs.

I realize the religious (Christian, Jew, Muslim, whatever) will say that this is yet another attack on their beliefs, that an atheist is "on the offensive", but I'm truly not. I'm on a quest to understand why dominance is so necessary within religion. If God made us all equal then why are the lines so blurred and why are women's rights so quashed? Without our beautiful Eve's, our Adam's would be nothing...

The only way you're ever gonna really understand anything Biblical, is to have a Bible study. If you really want to try to understand something, then just simply study it. If you learn something, then you do, and if you don't, oh well, then you tried. Really what harm is there in inquiring?  You can get a free Bible study at he following website; www.jw.org, a truly free , no obligation Bible study. You might be surprised at what you learn, and just how much sense things make.  You sound like you are disillusioned by religion, and honesty, I really don't blame you for that, because the reason for that is quite simple; there are many false teachings that many religions propagate, that are bad, false, lies and yet are taught as facts. You really shouldn't expect anything different from a world run by Satan, as the world currently is, and his whole goal is to convince people that God is either nonexistent, cruel or not interested in humans affairs, all of which are lies. Anyway, you are certainly free to choose how you will believe, but my suggestion is not a real threat of a loss of anything other than a little of your time to try to gain some accurate knowledge. I hope that you consider my recommendation, but if not, then have a great day and a wonderful life.

1. Do not lump all religion into one category. You're comparing Christianity to Islam and bashing both of them.
2. The Bible does not support rape in any instance. It says flee from all sexual immorality. If you cannot comprehend that then you need to go back to school.
3. I guess you are unaware that atheist and religious people are humans alike. Atheist are not holy,  atheist have killed countless amount of people and continue to do so till this day. You thinking of atheist being without hate is washed down the toilet.
4. If you want a sincere answer, ask without prejudice and do some basic comprehension of your research before stating blatant lies.
