Nice short poem what do you think?
I had a bit of inspiration the other day and was in a surprisingly good mood so I thought I'd share one of my more uplifting poems
star it if you like it :)
Peaceful Days
Do sit with me
Beneath the tree
That so blissfully
Became my home
That once or twice
Or even thrice
Did so suffice
To lay my head
And peace of mind
Did so in kind
My thoughts rewind
And forward go
From blinding light
And deafening night
This tree did fight
And stand its ground
So sit with me
Beneath this tree
That so blissfully
Became my home
@Greco
you hit the nail on the head, that fourth stanza is sticking out at me like a sore thumb, it just didn't display the imagery I wanted, I will have to tinker with it
it was supposed to be a metaphor for time, the pulsar idea might work
as for the 3rd line first & last stanza, I think you're right, reduce them to 4, I should have noticed that

Ok! This is a pretty good poem. The not-rhyming "turn" on every fourth line succeeds fine!.
The 4th stanza is supposed to be the "peak" of the poem (right?), but being keen and effective, failed in the second line (easy to repair). "deafening night" - too unreal. You should write: "and pulsar night"; "pulsar" refers to the light of the stars, and it adheres in there in a better way and the line has 4 syllables.
From blinding light
this pulsar night ("and vibrant night" will do, too)
The tree did fight
And stand its ground
Also:
So sit with me
Beneath this tree
That blissfully (<-- 4 syllables - apply in 1st stanza, too)
Became my home

Bravo for the fresh and elaborated result in our (alas) pompous world of poetry.
