Considering you used the wrong form of "there", it should be "their", that's a bad impression right off the bat.

Most people do not bring their children to a teenagers home. When they hire a teenager, usually the teenager goes to their home. Legally, you cannot have a "babysitter camp" in your home. In order to babysit for numerous families in your home you have to be an adult, and you have to be licensed by the state.

Also, I would not allow someone to watch a 12 year old if they are 14 (only 2 yrs older than the child they are babysitting). That would not work out so well.

Also, as a teenager looking for a babysitting job (even if you're not a teenager), the parent usually names the price, & it's up to you if you want to take it or not, or try to negotiate with the parent on a price. Basically, the only time you can set the price is if you are a licensed provider, caring for children out of your home, which you can not do.

It's great that you are taking a babysitting class & are getting certified in CPR & First Aid, that's a great start to a babysitting career. But until you become an adult, you'll have to settle for babysitting for families in their home.

In my area, most licensed home daycare providers charge an average of $20 per day per child. Most teenagers get paid $2/hr/child, sometimes more, depending on the circumstances.
