    I think heartbreak.

Because with death there's really nothing you can do about it except leran to live with it and focus on the good times via memories.

With heartbreak, there is the nagging possibility that the loved one might return or become available, and that can kill the motivation to look for someone who is trustworthy and/or available.

Grieving for someone who dies. Heartbreak stinks but we can recover nicely from it and maybe even find better later. When someone dies we loose them forever and it's a deeper loss I think. Someones life ends when a death occurs. When we have a break up it may feel that way but it truly isn't.

If the death was sudden, then grief, but after a long illness people often feel relief at the passing of their loved one, and so in that case heartbreak. It is context dependent.

Depends on who's died but I'd go with the death one!

It can be either depending on the perso. Grieving however can kill you. Literally.

Those feelings dont compare, once someone dies its over but love can always be rebuilt.
