I'm a contractor who works at a Help Desk every day from 3-10PM except Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

I suffer from depression and have no support system in real life. I have online friends who I enjoy being around a lot but I'm still depressed and I feel like if I could hang out with other people in real life and do stuff together, my depression would lessen.

Most people have weekends off and that would be the ideal time to have off so I can meet new people and make new friends but I don't have it off.

I've tried to ask for Saturday and Sunday off and emphasized that I could work any time on those days, however I got told no because "The data shows that I'm needed to work on the weekends".

I was told that my request would be kept in mind for when a opening for a weekly schedule was available but I have no idea how long it would be until I got that.

I dunno if I should keep trying to find another job or stick with this one until I can get the week schedule I want. The time is the only thing I really don't like. Everything else, I can deal with.

I am freaking tired of being depressed and now feeling cut off from peers. I want to live a happy life but I'm so lonely . .. .

I have certs but no degree so finding a job has been a bit challenging.

I work at a help desk. Right now, I work every day but Tuesday and Wednesday. I'd much rather have Saturday and Sunday off. The real reason for this is that well, I suffer from depression and loneliness and I want to improve my well being by being able to meet up with and hang out with people when they are off work: Saturday and Sunday.

I'm scared that saying my reason for asking for this is for my mental well being will raise a lot of red flags. I'm a Contractor so I kinda feel I walk on thin egg shells. My contract lasts through February so I don't exactly wanna just wait it out. How can I ask for this professionally in a way that gives me the best chances of getting this request. Willing to work any time.

I want to vote for Clinton ( Cause screw having the Middle East blown up). Can I just, come in and vote for her on Election day despite being Republican, or do I have to change my party?

I technically have a job now but it's only 30 hours a week. I'm trying to get more hours. Should I keep looking for relevant work with my certs and get a Bachelors in IT once I have the job or start the Bachelors now and put that I'm working oin it in my resume?

I work for a company nearly an hour away from home as a contractor. I make 12.50 an hour and my goal is to move out on my own. I know around here, 12.50 an hour is not enough to do this so if Im not offered more I cant stay here. I live in Florida. So is it normal? Thank you.

I was kind of the weirdo growing up and even when things got rough for me and everyone knew what happened, they all kept their distance from me. Just saying that to say because of it I had to just depend on myself, and my family wasn't good with emotional support either. So I've had to bottle up a lot and lack motivation to push myself to talk to people. ( I was left alone for so long I've become someone who can "get by" without people. My mentality is that of solitude. It's so lonely but it's hard to convince my loner self to talk to people... I just feel so left out and I just don't know what I'm living for anymore. My family has just gotten gradually worse and more distant.

1. I am both A+ and Network+ certified under CompTIA. For my objective I put this. Does this look OK?

2nd question: In my technical college I learned all about printer installation and troubleshooting. Should I say under skills Extensive printer knowledge or Extensive knowledge of printer installation and troubleshooting? Or something else?

I have a VP shunt, last revised August 2003. In the past year or so Ive noticed that many times when I realize I need to do or say something like saying hi to someone who says hi to me or smiling when someone smiles at me, I know I need to do the task but my body wont do it. I had a cat scan and MRI 2 years ago that showed nothing wrong. Could what I mentioned above be a sign of bad shunt?

I'm really depressed, mostly because I feel lonely. I've ben suffering from depression for around 8 years now.

I go to tech school all week and work both days of the weekend. I get home from tech school around 5pm due to riding the bus but have very varied work schedules on wekends.

I have some friends in tech school but mostly just do small talk with them when w hang out at school or go somewhere for lunch. I talk to people at work but not asmuch as pople at school since we need to be working and talking to them about some of the things I talk to pople at school about is not professional you know? Just not as close to them as people at school and that's saying something.

Can't go into detail withmy loneliness or depression with family because they don't understand. They always just dismiss me and tell me to just change my mindset and focus on more positive things or drink or something like that. I do my bst to keep a positive mindset but depression still creeps up on me and effects me everyday.

Life just feels meaningless . I'm trying to find meaning but the urge to just give up because of how tired I am keeps getting to me. I can't give up for the sake of my mom and nephews who would be filled with grief but I can't find hope . ..

I hate to sound whiney, but what can I do? Thank you.

i was having a truly great Christmas, then it seemed like my mind warped around now I'm just really depressed. Having a hard time motivating myself to do anything and what not. What do you do when this happens to you? Does it happen to you?

I fantasize about dying of canceror dying in some shooting constantly. Everytime a shooting happens there's a part of me that anticipates being caught yp in a shooting and being shot.

I'm not totally sure why this is// It's been going on for years. I've had suicidal thuoghts, but I don't get why I obsess over fdying in such horrible ways so much. looking for insight.

I've prayed for years for friends, a lover, my sanity to be restored, my depression to go away.

I've done my best to do things to help this goal anet, I l, just haven't achieved any of this. I fel shitty I have no goals, I can't rely on anyone for emotional support.

I only stay alive so others won't grieve . .. .When can I be happy?

Soo, I know that my creativity is my best asset on the professional side of things, so I want a career with a job that demands lots of creativity. My number one preference would be working in a studio (Cartoon Network, Disney, Dreamworks, ETC.)

Right now I'm in community college. I was going to get my gen ed done here then figure out what to get my Bachelors in at a different college. However I keep seeing more and more evidence that bachelors degrees aren't worth **** (My friend with 2 degrees lost the opportunity to get a job to someone with no degree.)

Another friend told me that studios don't care about degrees, they just want to see a good pro folio from you. I really want to believe this but I have my doubts because when looking up positions in studios (Such as storyboard artists or animation) they say a Bachelor's is preferred.

I'm looking at trade school which, if I leave school and save up for, I could attend it with no problem on the financial side thanks to my part time job. It says people who finish the program will be certified in photoshop after taking a test, and it teaches other thingslike character animation.

Problem: A man invests $1000 into an account eaarning 3.5% interest compounded quarterly. Three years later he invests an additional 500 dollars into the same account and one year later withdrawls all ogf the money how much did he withdraw.

My question is how to work with the 500. Should I calculate how much he will have from investing the 1000 for four years than calculate how much he got with the 500 in one year and add that together?

Or should I calculate how much he made after 3 years with the thousand, then calculate the 1 year of that total plus 500?
