Okay I weigh about 142 and I need to loose 20 pounds in 2 weeks what will help me loose weight fast?

    I go to the gym 2-3 times a week and use the elliptical, treadmill, and 30 minute workout at Planet Fitness. I lost 15 pounds in two weeks by doing just that. Eat right, smaller portions, about 1500 calories or less a day. No junk food or soda. Also swimming everyday or a few times a week is really good for you. It works most muscles in the body and will help with toning. And running or jogging. This is pretty much the stuff I do. Working out is hard but it gets easier the more you do it. Its gonna hurt sometimes, but always remember results come with time and hard work. If you don't put in the time you won't achieve your goals. That is for anything in life.

    Actually its not a good idea to lose 20 Ibs. in two weeks. Most of the time when people lose a lot of weight over such a short period of time they end up gaining more weight than they had in the first place. This is because your body has a "set point." And it takes awhile for that set point to readjust itself. In successful weight loss (that doesn't come back) a person will lose a few pounds a week for a couple of weeks and then will completely stop losing weight for about a week to two weeks. This period where they stop losing weight is because the body is readjusting its set point and it is important in this period to focus on not gaining any weight. After the set point has adjusted the body will start losing weight again.

    Now, with losing weight, be sure you are drinking plenty of water. A useful trick is to drink one glass of water before each meal. Another trick is with each meal eat your food slowly; it takes roughly twenty minutes for your brain to register that you are full and do not need to eat more. Always eat breakfast; skipping breakfast is one of the worst things a dieter can do. Remember that the key to successful weight loss is to not starve yourself or eat unpleasant tasteless food, but to eat healthy and eat in moderation. Look up recipes online for healthy alternatives; a good example is mayo-based salad dressing like ranch, you can substitute the mayo with non-fat plain yogurt and the taste is pretty much the same, but with about a thousand calories knocked down.

    Remember to exercise regularly; and be sure its an activity you enjoy! Be creative with your physical activity.

    The only way you can lose 20 pounds in 2 weeks is if you do a complete water fast and even then it would probably only be 10-15 pounds.

    Ok for one I have the same problem and for two you CANNOT lose 20 pounds in 2 weeks safely. If you yoyo diet or go on a water fast or even do a no carb diet you will lose lean muscle tissue instead of fat which you need otherwise you will look sick not fit. you could only maybe lose 1 pound a week with proper diet and excersise. carbs are essential and they need to be balanced.

    Pass on crop up. You'll be amazed by how much weight you drop by merely switching to water.

    i work with a guy who does MMA he just eats VERY little and only eats carbs (but pigs out when he doesnt have a fight coming up lol) another way is to take laxitives to loose water weight
