What is a water fast to loose weight ? Is it only drinking water to loose 20 pounds or what do I have to do?

It is physically impossible to lose 20 pounds in two weeks. Especially if you are trying a water fast. Fasting is not an efficient way to lose weight, in fact it will ultimently make you gain weight. While you are fasting you will lose weight, a weight called "water weight" which is water that has been stored in your muscles and various other cells to help preserve your body and ensure its functioning properly. (A high percentage of your body weight is from water.) After being deprived of nutrients for so long once you start eating again you will gain all the weight you thought you lost and perhaps even more. Reason being, now that your eating your body is going to store everything it possible can because it is preparing itself to be starved again.
Fasting is not the way to go, even though it has become a new fad and you hear people saying, "Yea, I fasted and lost this much weight, it was wonderful!" Yea, you lost water weight. Not actual fat cell weight.
I suggest you get on Google and do some reading on how your metabolism functions and the chemical reactions your brain has to starvation.
The quickest way to lose weight is to (classically) eat proper foods and portions and exercise. You need the food to function and you need the exercise to stay in shape and help your metabolism function. Your metabolism function faster when you are physically active. And you will find that the more you eat (like 6 smaller meals through the day, eating every 2 or 3 hours) the less your body will store fat because it will not need to. It will realize that it will always have the energy it needs and it will find it unnecessary to store food away as lipid. (fats)

Here's why ice water is in a low temperature and in order for your body to process that water it needs
to start working and actually burning calories so it can heat that water up , this process WILL make you loose weight but listen , you are not going to loose a lot , probably 1 pound every 2 or 3 weeks maybe but it does help ,
Now what should I do?
Go to your nearly gym and find a professional asking him for a Cardio fatburning routine!
Now remember this , 1 pound of muscle fat is equal to = 2500 calories , so In order for you to lose a pound of fat each week you will have to eat 500 calories a day(500*5 =2500). a normal person will consume around 1.5 to 2 k so its gonna be hard! good luck!
