How do you pronounce "seelie"?
I'm researching faerie folklore for my writing, and I've come across a few different pronunciations of the word "seelie" (as in the seelie and unseelie courts). Some pronunciations I've seen:
~ SEE-lee
~ SEE-lih
~ SEE-luh
~ SEE-lye
Which is the correct way to say it? Thanks! =)
@Cassie the Weird - I'm sure it's not super important, I just don't want to sound uneducated when talking about my novel idea you know? =)

I think it differs slightly depending on where the person saying it is from. But English is your first language it's almost guaranteed that SEE-lee and/or SEE-lih are the most commonly used pronunciations.

"SEE-lee". The other alternatively acceptable way to pronounce it is "SEAL-ee." There is a slight difference in pronunciation and it really just depends on where you're from and how you speak.

I'm fairly sure it's not majorly important, but I've always pronounced it the first way, and I think that's the right one.
