Are the immigration people gonna stop me from coming back?

it has been a year since i moved to Canada for my studies. I wanna go visit my parents in India this summer, but someone told me, because of my low grades the immigration department wont allow me to come back to Canada once i go back. Is this really the case? is it possible that this might happen?

If you fail to maintain certain grade averages, the university will contact you and, eventually, cancel your admission. As required, they will contact Citizenship and Immigration Canada, who will pull your study permit. You will typically be notified... assuming that CIC can contact you.

You would need to contact the university, or just visit a councillor or someone in the admissions department, and discuss with them what the minimum standards are for the program and/or your international student requirements.

Yes, it is possible. If you don't try and only put a tiny amount of effort into your study then why should they let you back in when they can only accept so many foreign students each year? It makes more sense to only allow the achievers to stay as they will make something of themselves.

Sounds like it's time for you to knuckle down and do some good honest work on your study.

I suppose it is possible. Don't leave without making sure your visa is still good.
