Just wait it out. Very often it takes a guy longer than 18 years to grow up. In fact, the human brain actually doesn't finish growing until you're well into your 20's.
He's just a teenager right now. Soon he'll be hitting the inevitable adversity that comes with adulthood, and he'll grow from it and become a man. And he may move far away and you may find that you miss him like hell. So think about extending the olive branch to your brother, because you may not be this close to him forever.
