what color halters for these horses?

i am taking two paint horses to fair this year, and i wanted to get them nicer halters for fair, they have halters now but they are gross and not that pretty, they are both sorrel overo paints, one is a gelding and one is a mare. i was thinking maybe lime green for the gelding, and a light purple for the mare. no nasty answers please! thanks

Update:

These would just be for barn halters, they stay at the fair all week and I want them to look nice when they are in the barn! I have a nice silver show halter for the mare because she is my showmanship/halter horse

When I show, I use the black show halters with silver plating, and a show lead. Looks good on any horse.

But I also have a paint mare, and dark purple, and lavender look good on her.

Anything flashy or glittery for the mare would be good too.

Depending on how crisp/saturated their colors are neon colors would be good too.

Whatever color or type of halter you get, make sure it fits well! Nothing worse than having one too big or too tight.

ADD: Well if they are just for barn halters I think purple for the mare and a bright green or dark blue for the gelding would look nice. If you can try the halters on them before you buy so you know that they will look good in them.

  • I think either a blue, hot pink, or lime green halter would stick out on them, and look good also!

Sparkly halters!! Great for mares and geldings.

I have the pink on my bay mare, and my friend has the blue on her Palamino mare.
