I don't believe in abortion, but since it is a harsh reality of today, I will give my opinion- I feel like the man should have a say when it comes to abortion. It's just as much a part of him as it is of the woman, and he should be able to keep the child even if the mother doesn't want to, unless its a great risk to her health. I know its her body, but what is more important here? A woman's appearance, or an innocent child? Because that's the only thing about her body that is going to change. A man should have the right to keep his child, just like a woman has the right to keep it even if the man doesn't want it. As far as child support goes, whether the man or woman keeps the child, the other should have to pay. Both the man and woman are still responsible for the pregnancy occurring, whether it was an accident or not. Don't have sex until you are ready for children, or at least take more precautions, use birth control, a condom, spermicidal lubrication, all of the above. If you never want to have children, a man can have a vasectomy just like a woman can have her tubes tied, and even after it's done, continue to use protection just to be safe. The point is, there are a few precautions you can take, so don't rely on just one. Regardless, the child belongs to both the man and the woman, so they both should have to take responsibility.

I think abortion is wrong. I think a man should have a say so in abortion if he wants to keep the baby. But if he wants his girlfriend to get an abortion then no, I don't think he deserves a say so in it. And be free of paying child support? NO. There is always a chance of pregnancy when you have sex. So knowing that and still doing it but not wanting to take responsibility is ridiculous. You made the baby, you can at least chip in a little to help out.

I understand there is circumstances when abortions may be necessary but i do not believe that if the male chooses an abortion and the women doesn't that he should not pay child support as it as much hes baby as it is hers whether he wants anything to do with it or not,

Its a Child and i don't think is should be so easy to get rid of or walk away from.

Abortion - I think it's wrong. When people have sex, they know there's a chance of pregnancy. They need to grow up and take responsibility. Adoption is always an option. I don't understand how somebody can kill a baby, especially one they created.

And the "man" being "free", oh hell no. Growing up without a parent isn't easy. They should always be there. ALWAYS.

I think the couple should discuss -- before they have sex -- what they would want to do if the woman becomes pregnant.

I do think the guy has a say in what happens, in that if a woman tells him she's pregnant, then he can drop to one knee and propose marriage. If he's not willing to do that, then he should consider getting a vasectomy so he never has children, or he should abstain from having intercourse with any woman he wouldn't want bearing his child. So men have choices.

That said, men need to understand that if they get a woman pregnant, and don't choose to marry her, then they are reliant on her choice of whether to have the child, and whether to raise it or give it up for adoption. Yes, they're on the hook for financial support, but generally the woman is responsible for spending the next 18 years of her life, plus nine months of pregnancy, to care for that child. Men are lucky to get away with just providing child support. They can go on with their lives emotionally, while many women live in poverty with their children.

And yes, I believe a woman should be able to abort no matter what the guy says, but I do believe they should discuss their desire to not carry a child before having sex so that both of them are clear on it.

The male should defiantly have a say in abortion. But the no paying child support will never happen, and should never cross a guys mind unless he is willing to take care of the child.

I really don't think aborting a child, taking its life, is right. But however, like you said, it's her body. No one should tell you what to do with your own body. & I do agree that the man should take part in child support and all of that if the woman chooses not to abort.
