Why when I post a question then give no best answer?
Hi community members,
Why when I posted a question, then give a no best answer does it go into voting? Because no one even came close to answering or answered with some bs, the question I asked to begin with. Have a good AM. Hopefully a TC will answer this one from Yahoo! Answers, if you put idk=I don't know don't waste your time nor mine. I give a best for what I think is the Best Answer. Have a good AM.
Double Trouble I know all what you are saying. I posted a question, then I gave the answer person a negative so he went small, my question is why did it go into voting when I made the person small=idk but thanks I'll star for kinda answering this question.

As an asker you essentially have three choices
a) assign a Best Answer
b) send it to voting (but you can only vote once for NBA and if other votes outnumber this then someone will get the BA anyway)
c) self-delete the question when it's open
If such a situation occurs then you should report answers that violate the Community Guidelines. e.g. "idk" is point gaining and you can report it as such http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?page=content&id=SLN...
For answers that give the bare minimum answer which does address the question then these are not reportable and personally, if these are the only remaining answers on a question I placed, then I would self-delete my question (but only in this case)
EDIT - when you give someone a negative you are giving them a thumbs down. That's not reporting it, just giving an indication of dislike for the answer.
To report the answer you need to press the "report abuse" button besides it. If you do not report much then it will likely not be removed either so you need to ask someone else to report it with you as well.
