Looks like Pin oak saplings, Quercus palustris. Pull one out to see if it's still attached to an acorn. Abundant tree down under.
Edit: Thank you for the clear photo. It is a Solanum, of which there are many varieties. I can tell by the fruit in the new photo. It's in the eggplant family and most are poisonous.

It's not an ivy- ivy has 3-5 edged leaves. The leaves look like a mix of oak and holly...could it be poison oak? That doesn't grow where I live but I just googled it and no...
