Atheists: Shall we agree that all religions based on sacrifice are satanistic & evil?
Abrahamic religions have it
Judaism - Its their standard practice of killing animals & birds in temple , offer their blood to the Yahweh who gets pleased with it.
Christianity - Its mentioned in Bible and every Church has an alter. Catholic colonists sacrificed millions to gain wealth & power.
Islam - Most Muslim do sacrifice of animals on Bakrid & other festivals , they first raise the animal lovingly but then one day they just kill it & eat it & offer its prayer to their God for its soul .
Hinduism - It was a vedic practice of fire worship followed by bali (sacrifice) of animals , scarifice of human is mentioned in Rigveda (Purusha sukta)
Sikh - Their gurus sacrificed humans (paanch pyare) but they say they resurrected them later and teach people to carry arms all the time & sacrifice themselves or kill others for the cause of their religion
and others
and so we atheists who practice humanism , need to be careful in dealing with them considering that their attitude may turn any time ?
oops - fast typed scarificed in Hinduism , pl read sacrificed

I mean sure. I personally think all religions are just made up so that people can feel better about themselves. But, killing anything for any reason is a little messed up.

Aaaaahahahahahahaha. What a joke. Guru Gobind Singh asked for volunteers who would give up their head. Someone came forward and he took them into a tent. The Guru came out with his sword dripping with blood (probably goat's blood) and asked for another, etcetc. It's called THEATRICS to make a point and inspire people who, in this case, had to go to war against an oppresive government.
So yeah, try again.

Wrong on so many levels!!
First off, there is no god called satan in Judaism. HaSatan is simply God's messenger and has no powers other than those God gives him. He served as God's "prosecuting attorney."
And what's so bad about sacrifice? Do you abhor grains, incense, and little critters, or is it the BBQ you object to? If it's that BBQ that's dedicated to God via the aroma, then I assume you are a vegetarian and would never consider eating little critters.
Sacrifice in those days was practiced by all cultures and generally included human sacrifice. In the Jewish Bible, the near-sacrifice of Isaac was intended to teach us that human sacrifice is NEVER acceptable to God (especially the sacrifice of his only begotton son!). The laws in the Jewish Bible made the laws in force at the time less severe and provided protections for the less fortunate. They teach us that the rulers/pharaohs are NOT gods and that everyone has certain inalienable rights.

Jews stopped sacrificing animals when the Second Temple was destroyed, nearly two thousand years ago.
Didn't you get the memo?
So, yeah, we've moved on from that, long since.
What was your point again?

Yes. Sadly, Religions are terrible, severe mental disorders. Symptoms includes hatred, stupidity, lack of believing in logics and science, narrowmindness and homophobia. The disease can be spread forcefully or verbally.
If you are experiencing any of this symptoms, please read the encyclopedia! At late stage, the disease will prevent you from enjoying your life.
