how to fix polycarbonate greenhouse sheets.?
The sheets on my greenhouse have been blown off a couple of times, and I have been unable to fix them properly. I have been using duct tape which works for a while until it starts to come off and looks like a patchwork quilt :) Does anyone know how I could get a more permanent fix. Perhaps with glue or some other kind of tape.

clear silicone is sometimes used but the panels will need to be held in place while it sets. Polycarbonate can be drilled-carefully- so u could screw it to the frame with self tapping screws

Brian as Davey suggests both his solutions are good. You say that the sheets are polcarbonate, are you sure you don't just mean a clear plastic.... I only raise this query because polycarbonate is generally a rather expensive material to use in a greenhouse and you would need to look carefully at the tubes of silicone your buying to see if they will bond to it, whereas plastic will or may require a different type of silicone..... but if your right and you go for the clear silicone solution you will be fine provided you do the fixing on a calm wind free day. You should first clean the rebate of dirt, moss and dust, then apply a continuous 6mm thick bead of silicone (via a silicone gun available at all good diy stores) around the rebated face of each opening where the plastic will lay into and then put the plastic in place and apply some pressure around the 4 edges to ensure a good seal. Each tube will tell you how many metres it will cover using a 6mm bead
