How can we get 911 to respond properly?

When you call in to make a complaint about the police all you ever get is run around from them. And wrong numbers. And what fine people they are. Do they not know that that service is payed for by all as a toll on our phones and that they work for us not cover up for the police? And is there a number to call on the Federal level to correct this problem with 911?

In most places, 9-1-1 is a regional function. It takes phone calls for Police, fire and ambulances, often for several jurisdictions. It is not the 9-1-1 center's responsibility to worry about citizen complaints against the Police. If you have a problem go to the Police station and talk to a Police supervisor on duty. It is not normal practice for almost any agency to tale personnel complaints over the phone anyhow.

What your phone service pays for is 9-1-1 operators who receive emergency calls and dispatch emergency services (police, fire and EMS). Not be a conduit for complaints.

before you complain about something, you should know what you are talking about.

You do not call 911 to complain about the police, that is not the function of the 911 system. If you have a complaint about the police, call the non-emergency number for the department and they will take your complaint. You can be cited for misusing the 911 system, as it is for emergencies only. Quit tying it up with nonsense.

Well to start with 911 is for emergency's ONLY, surprised you have not been visited by the police to set you straight about that. If you have a complaint about the police then call their internal affairs division, it is their job to investigate any or all complaints against the department.

911 is ONLY for actual emergencies. Any other use is illegal.

You would need to call the non-emergency line to make a complaint against an officer, then make a sworn, signed and notarized written statement of facts.

911 is the police, fire, and ems emergency service. If you want to complain about a particular police officer, call the department he/she works for

I don't know how you got so far off the track. But everything you have said is a fantasy.
