Folder missing after restoring from recycle bin !!?

i had a folder full of my favourite movies.. i think nearly abt 50/60 of them.... there were another 2 folders too with some not so favorite movies.... ok now here's the prob..

i deleted the three folders(not permanent delete) but when i went to the recycle bin to restore them, only the other 2 folders were there ! The bigger folder has gone.... missing !! cant find it anywhere... and i went to the recycle bin only abt 5 mins after i had deleted them...

i checked my hard disk usage... it was the same... it suggested to loss of data... does this mean that the movis are still in there somewhere? if yes, how could i get them back?

If you try to delete files or folders above a certain size, then you get a DIFFERENT verify message saying along the lines of

"this stuff is too large for the recycle bin, and will be permanently deleted. Are you sure? Y/N"

Depending of your OS, this message may come AFTER the usual "Are you sure you want to send this to the recycle bin" message.

Other OS version say the permanent delete verification INSTEAD.

So your files MAY have been permamently deleted because yoi didnt notice the message was different...

Best of luck .. but probably too late now...
