Consider 2 Flights departing at the same time from an airport.

One travels East and another one travels West with the same speed, to a destination that is equally far away on both directions.

Considering that both flights experience clear flying conditions and all, would the flight travelling West reach its destination faster ( due to the spinning of Earth) ? Or will both flights reach at the same time ??

i watched this video called " Imagining the tenth dimension" on Youtube. Following that, i also saw some videos in which Dr. Michio Kaku had talked about living in the eleventh dimension. He said there would be different kinds of membranes.

Were the membranes he was talking about physical things or just an anomaly to represent a complex mathematical concept?

also, in the "Imagining the tenth dimension" video, there were examples of 2-dimensional flat landers and 3- dimensional creatures (us)... is there a possibility that there are aliens which might be living in higher dimensions? if there are such aliens, is there a possibility that we can interact with them? or, will we appear to them as things that are ' not lively' [i.e, the way we view photographs/videos]

ok this may be confusing and a difficult to understand for some.. but this is the best way i can ask this... its quite hard to find the exact words !!

Suppose a rocket leaves earth and travels at light speed. It spends some time in space and returns to earth and its Hundreds of years in the future from when it left earth.. OK.. no probs till here.

so, according to time dilation, the clock in the rocket ticks very slowly that several months pass on earth for every hour/minute inside the rocket.. Now this is when we observe from earth.

If however, we take the rocket to be the reference point and assume that the earth is moving away from the rocket at light speed, hundreds of years would have passed in that rocket while only days have passed on earth..

So, how can we be sure which one happens??

Which course is better to choose for B.E?

1) Mechanical Engineering

2) Aerospace Engineering

3)Aeronautical Engineering

My passion has been space exploration and rockets and flying objects since my childhood and i hv also been following the latest things related to that.... I can say my academics are also quite good to take the

pressure of the course..

However, some of my seniors said that taking aero in B.E is not advisable and they suggested that i take Mech for UG and then take up aero in PG... The reason they say is that the job opportunities in Aerospace are limited and that the field is very narrow.. that i cant switch to any other job and would have to work at almost the same labs for the rest of my life...

so,

=> which course i have to take?

=> Is there a big difference bet. Aerospace,Aeronautical Engg. ?

how many marks would i need/ what rank need i get to get Mechanical Engg in VIT?

I completed a survey which asked some questions about how many Qns i Watch on Youtube a week, how do i feel about the advertisements and things like that... after that survey, it asked me to choose one of three products..

i had a folder full of my favourite movies.. i think nearly abt 50/60 of them.... there were another 2 folders too with some not so favorite movies.... ok now here's the prob..

i deleted the three folders(not permanent delete) but when i went to the recycle bin to restore them, only the other 2 folders were there ! The bigger folder has gone.... missing !! cant find it anywhere... and i went to the recycle bin only abt 5 mins after i had deleted them...

i checked my hard disk usage... it was the same... it suggested to loss of data... does this mean that the movis are still in there somewhere? if yes, how could i get them back?

I was told by some of my teachers and friends that the rankings in magazines are not very true because the colleges pay them. So i really don't have a clear idea of where every college stands in the rankings, and also does the rankings play a very important part in the quality of the institution?

I also have asked specifically which is the best of the lot for Mechanical Engg, since the ranking i believe is the overall standing of the College and doesnt say anything abt the course.

I wanted to ask these questions because I've been hearing both positives and negatives about these colleges and am currently confused on which to choose..
