FIFA 13 Lags due to high CPU usage?

Update:

I have an i5 processor 2.4GHz

and nVidia Geforce 550M

8 GB of ram

FIFA was fine till recently.. when it started lagging.. in task manager it says that it uses 50% of CPU but the overall is around > 90%.. and i cant seem to locate the problem !

    Run a free game optimizer such as "Razer Cortex". It will disable unneeded background apps and processes while you are gaming. I use it on my laptop and my gaming rig and it does make a difference.
