The law does not prohibit thinking racist ideas. Stating racist ideas is usually allowed as freedom of expression, but there are prohibitions against inciting and threatening that can be enforced. A lot of the actions a racist might desire to do are illegal.

One of the side affects of Liberty is people are allowed and defended in their right to still be stupid. I AM glad it is no longer legal to ACT upon such nonsense. No more Jim Crow.

The answer and solution to racism and bigotry is always MORE Liberty. Suppression only makes the problem fester. Look at the Neo Nazi movement in the EU. Not just Germany suffering from it.

Of course it's legal,but in today's society, it is looked at as a crime when it's not. Don't every forget your right to freedom of speech. It makes me so mad when people get so upset over racism. When I say, "I hate *******.", it's no different from, "My favorite flavor is grape." It's an opinion. A "hate speech" is the same thing as an "opinion speech." Just a point.

Laws pertain to ACTIONS. So, yes, sub-human, brainless morons can be racists and bigots.
