If Jesus came to announce the sword to Israel , have they learnt the lesson?
Jesus recorded "Woe to you" to Jewish people , in his gospels (Matthew) and foretold about his false victimization by Jewish Israelites and announced destruction of Israel & suffering to Jews , also told about destruction of their temple ,
announced "chaff will be burnt in fire" .
And it actually happened --
In 70 AD romans destroyed Israel & their temple, made many Jews slaves & carried them to Europe and many Jewish ppl were hanged on cross, it is said that the road to rome was littred with jewish people's bodies hanging on cross.
All this because he admitted that Jewish religion has faltered and did not practice the compassion and were haughty with superiority complex.
In ww2 they were burnt in fire.
In todays world we see oppression of non-jews in Israel especially muslims. They are heckled . they are sneered , abused and stones are thrown at their houses day & night. Actually apartheid being practiced by Jews .
So if they didnt learn the lesson , are they inviting a similar wrath?

Muslim people are saying on television that they are being persecuted & subjected to apartheid.
On TV we see Jewish people standing in front of Muslim houses and shouting at them abusively.
On TV we see Jewish people
encouraging their small children to throw stones at them and then laugh after they did it.
On TV we see Muslim houses shielding themselves putting grills to their houses to protect against stones.
Many muslim people getting hurt from throwing stones.
It appears & looks like a harassment to Muslims so that they sell off their houses and leave the country so that Jewish can buy their houses .
Feivel, Its a fallacy to run your daily life based on books written thousand of years back when wars & killings were commonplace when forces of nature were thought of as acts of G-d , rather at present we know that natural laws are scientific , no more manna nor any column of smoke business.
If you say 'covenant' - let me tell you every covenant (agreement) has conditions & clauses which it is subjected to. I ask you have you followed ALL the covenants clauses , have you followed all the Ten Commandments & the law in detail. Let me tell you 'even if you have killed a rat or a cockroac

Of course I agree that you need to defend your country, okee , but that can be done with compassion & with secular mindset with non-violence as well as with education.
As for myself , if I am given a choice , I would prefer to be a kind human rather than being a bookish religious person.

See Japanese were not eliminated even after nuclear attacks by America nor were native Indians when Americans tried to purge them.
'by Muslims' -- see if muslims are bad , the best way to deal with them is to let them do what they want, one day they will get to the senses and the 'Arab spring' is the beginning of the self understanding , nobody can feed his stomach with pages of books. But the more you call them bad & evil, the more you are creating a bigger time bomb - under your bed.
No person alone nor any community is special because each one has a book which tell them so. But I say all humanity is special , look at the animals , how blessed we are compared to them. why create differences, Lets celiberate humanity .

I dont think so.
I think a fundamentalist Jew is same as fundamentalist Muslim or of any other religion.
I think the hatred is the worst thing ever because it leads to many other crimes.
Jewish people sadly suffered worst crimes of hateful nazis and people of Europe have
learnt their lessons , there is no death penalty in Europe now.
However if this is extended it is expected that the Jews should have become more humanistic, loving and kind people, but if they also practice the segregation , exploitation , apartheid etc with their own country people in Israel in the name of religion , then I am afraid to say that nature may not forgive these practices.
I think the world should keep a watch and if Israel really behaves like that then it should face sanctions in order to make them reform and if they dont still then I am afraid to say that Armageddon (of Bible) is not so far , the next WW3 .
And I am more worried about the people who will survive because they would live with the nuclear radiation , making life hell for inhabitants.

Lets hope that does not happen.

First...we don't oppress non-Jews. 25% o the country of Israel is not Jewish. What percentage of Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Sudan etc are not muslim? Muslims and xians sit on the Knesset and hold public office. How many Jews sit in elected offices or in government bodies in Iraq, Syria, "palestine" etc. The "palestinians" have said they are not a part of Israel and they lob rockets into Israel all the time, MANY a day and we do have the right to protect ourselves.
Have you been to Israel? I doubt it. Apartheid? Right. That is why non-muslim citizens enjoy all the benefits of Jewish citizens. You have no idea what you are talking about.
In WW2 we were killed because hitler united them by using xian and religious messages to make the people think eradicating the Jew was their obligation.
Let's look at it this way. The world has tried to kill us for a very long time. The most recent was the holocaust but we are still here and we survive. The united force of several arab armies attacked Israel time and time again and each time they are defeated. That is a small miracle.

By the way, G-d said his covenant with the Jewish people was eternal and binding. I guess you think G-d was lying? Joking? Oh right, jesus changed it. Well, G-d also said that Moshiach will not change anything in Torah (not add to nor take away from) and certainly jesus seemed to have done it all, so....yeah, we don't believe in jesus because he was not Moshiach.
By the way, I read the Torah in it's original Hebrew. I have studied it all my life. I think the Jewish people are ok but we should be more observant.

The NT was written *after* the Temple had been destroyed, so that self-serving observation that the Temple was going to be burned doesn't hold much real prophesy since it was written after the fact!
The Inquisition failed, the Pogroms failed, Hitler's cultists in WW2 failed. Sadistic misuse of Christian scripture is a big fail. Sadistic misuse of the Quran has failed: Islamic attacks on Israel, PLO, Hamas and Hezbolah's threats to kill all Jews and run us into the sea have failed these past 65 years.
In today's world we see oppression of Jews, Christians, Hindus and Buddhists by Muslims. The truth is apartheid IS practiced by Muslims. They forbid even the open practice of Christianity or Judaism. They destroy Buddhist, Christian, Hindu and Jewish sacred places, and in the name of Islamic Empire. How is this a lesson for Jews if Muslims are doing it to everyone?
