what table foods can I introduce to my 7 month old?

I want to let him explore new textures and flavors. He has his 2 bottom teeth and the tops are on their way. He seems very interested I what I'm eating. I wanna be careful so I'm curious what other mommies have tried at this age. He is 7, almost 8 months and eats 2, sometimes 3 jars of baby food a day plus his formula. I've thought about trying puffs but wasn't sure if I could? Any advice would be great. Thanks

Update:

My son started on the Gerber yogurt at 6 months and does just fine with it

People, jar baby food IS table food! And there is no medical reason for most babies to eat bland purees, this was started by the baby food companies generations ago. Baby can enjoy soft fresh fruits and cooked veggies from your table.

Baby does not need teeth for ''baby led weaning''. Baby can easily gum chew soft food, serve finger food size like a french fry. My guys all pretty much skipped jars, unless we were out somewhere. He might gag himself to start, this is OK as this is learning. Don't be confused with actually choking. Baby puffs do nothing to teach them to eat.

You can introduce pretty much anything at this age, other than nut products (which can cause allergies) or things he might choke on. Finger foods are usually popular - carrot or cucumber sticks are good ones to start with though of course you must watch to make sure he doesn't choke on them. If he has at least a couple of teeth, he should be fine. You could give him a piece of toast, too, or even a small sandwich if he seems interested.

Jarred food isn't necessary at all - mashed banana or home-made (unsweetened) apple sauce are ideal first foods, and once your baby is used to having food from a spoon, offer him any mashed or pureed vegetables or fruit, making sure only to offer one new item per day just in case of an allergic reaction.

I'm afraid I have no idea what 'puffs' are, so can't comment on that. If they're some kind of packaged cereal, then that would not be a good idea as it would probably be over-processed and sweetened.

At this age he should be eating mostly pureed or ground foods. It's too early to begin much table food besides maybe puffed rice and cheerios. Zweiback baby toast is okay too. I'd wait closer to 9-10 months before introducing much table food that is not at least mashed. If you do plan on mashing or grounding it, then you can offer him some of what you eat just make sure it's pretty bland and are foods that he's tried already or single flavored ones.

Pretty much anything. I would skip the processed "baby snacks" and give him real, whole food. Peas, banana pieces, bread, steamed veggies, blueberries, pretty much anything aside from the obvious (hard candy, nuts, etc.).

puffed cereal. I would stick to homemade blender for now unless it is a grain that he can suck and disolve with his saliva and you watch him carefully. I tried cheetos and yogurt but my 6 month old broke out in hives so hold it on the milk. He can now do milk but couldn't then.

Mushy foods and small diced bite sized foods.
