my 17 month old won't eat much, what can I do?
He isnt too picky, he will eat anything, but he will only take a couple bites then refuses Ii, thats if he eats any of it at all. I know children won't starve themselves, but I want to make sure he is well nourished. Could I try those children's ensure drinks? Or does anyone have any other suggestions. Thanks in advance
2 AnswersToddler & Preschooler7 years agomy 15 month old eats a lot of chicken nuggets, is this okay?
I ask because a lot of people criticized my sister in law for feeding her son mostly chicken nuggets... my son eats plenty of fruits and vegetables. And I offer him hot dogs and hamburger which he will usually take 2 or 3 bites of, then he's done.. But as son as he sees chicken nuggets he will eat 4 or 5.. So I've been turning to that when he refuses other things.. So is this okay? Like, health wise? Thanks in advance.
7 AnswersToddler & Preschooler7 years agoWhat are some things i can do with my one year old to jelp him be more interested in walking?
He turned one on the 17th of this month. Im fully aware it's normal to not walk yet but he gets the idea he takes a few independent steps here and there but drops to a crawl... I want him to learn to walk we use walkers and I hold his hands and walk with him but he always seems to show more interest in crawling. What are some things I can do to help him to walk?? Thanks
6 AnswersToddler & Preschooler8 years agoIs it too soon to remove formula from my sons diet?
He will be one in a little less than 3weeks. He has 2oz of vitamin d milk with lunch and dinner. And all of his other "bottles" (he is off the bottle only uses sippy cup) are half formula and half vitamin d milk he has been on this for 2 weeks and doing just fine. Im slowly upping the milk. He actually seems to enjoy the milk more than his formula. He eats 3 meals a day. Just wondering if its okay to be weaning him off of the formula already? He's very healthy also.
4 AnswersNewborn & Baby8 years agoCan i start slowly transitioning my son from formula to milk, if so, how?
My son is 10 months old. lately he has been eating a lot more table food and not wanting too much of his formula. I know formula is essential until one year old. But with him not wanting as much, could I slowly start introducing milk? He has had dairy (yogurt , tastes of things with dairy) a friend of mine said at 10 months old she started slowly putting vitamin D milk in her child's bottle (ex. 5os formula and one oz of vitamin D milk mixed together, then a day or 2 later 3oz formula and 2 oz milk, and so on..) My son drinks 6 oz bottles roughly 4 a day, but give or take. He has cut it down a lot in the past month. Would this be okay to try? thanks.
6 AnswersNewborn & Baby8 years agowhat's the best way to transition from bottle to sippy cup?
My son is 10 months old and I finally found a sippy cup he likes. I was thinking maybe slowly switching daily bottles out with formula in a sippy rather than his bottle... And I've also considered only offering his bottle to him at bedtime and giving him all of his daytime bottles to him in his sippy cup. Any opinions or advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks

1 AnswerNewborn & Baby8 years agowhat table foods can I introduce to my 7 month old?
I want to let him explore new textures and flavors. He has his 2 bottom teeth and the tops are on their way. He seems very interested I what I'm eating. I wanna be careful so I'm curious what other mommies have tried at this age. He is 7, almost 8 months and eats 2, sometimes 3 jars of baby food a day plus his formula. I've thought about trying puffs but wasn't sure if I could? Any advice would be great. Thanks

3 AnswersNewborn & Baby8 years agoHow do I teach my 6 month old to self sooth himself to sleep?
I would never let him cry for more than 5 mins. I know I should have started this before he was 6 months old but I know I can't wait Abby longer. He likes to fight his sleep and be a total grump. I end up rocking him to sleep every night. How do I break this and help him soothe himself too sleep? Thanks.
3 AnswersNewborn & Baby8 years agoIs 7:45 pm too early of a bed time for a 6 month old?
My 28 week old usually goes to bed at 9 pm but the last week his schedule got messed up due to him napping at different tines during the day and the result is him going to bed around 7:45 or 8ish rather than 9 pm. I think its fine but my hubby says is a little too early. I just want opinions from people with some experience with this. Thanks :)
