What are some things i can do with my one year old to jelp him be more interested in walking?
He turned one on the 17th of this month. Im fully aware it's normal to not walk yet but he gets the idea he takes a few independent steps here and there but drops to a crawl... I want him to learn to walk we use walkers and I hold his hands and walk with him but he always seems to show more interest in crawling. What are some things I can do to help him to walk?? Thanks
By walkers I mean the kind he pushes around.

There's not much you can do other than giving him plenty of time to play and learn on his own time.
My oldest was a very cautious walker. She pushed those carts around for about 3 months before she finally took her first steps on her own at 13 1/2 months. We actually left for vacation the day after she took her first steps, and we couldn't take her pushtoys with us on the plane, so she either had to be carried, walk while holding our hands, or walk on her own. Well, she decided she was ready to walk and just took off on that trip. We were gone a week, and she was practically an expert walker by the time we got home.
I know it's hard to be patient, but I promise you that it won't matter if your son starts walking tomorrow or if it's another month or two. Hang in there!

By 'we use walkers' do you mean the kind that baby sits in and scoots around? Or do you mean the toys he can push along while he stands up?
If the former, get rid of the walker. They dont' help babies learn to walk, and can actually delay walking.
If the latter, those are fine.
There is nothing you need to be doing to help him learn to walk. It sounds like he's trying, and he's almost there. Right now, crawling is more efficient for him, so it's not surprising that he crawls when he really wants to get someplace.
Over the next few days/weeks/months, he'll become more adept at walking, and do it more. And he'll do it because nature tells him to. Humans are made to walk upright.

Leave him in the walker - sooner or later he will figure it out...then, let him walk when he's ready to walk. One of my grand daughter did not walk until nearly 18-months of age.

As long as a baby can't stand up, his bones are not strong enough to stand up. Machinery to assist him will only deform the bones. When the bones are strong enough, then you can't stop him. Just move all the breakables out of reach!

Dangle a carrot up in the air to keep his attention upwards and walking.
