A 7 year old toddler should know that  it's  NOT  a baby .

I know what you are saying, but since she isn't a baby anymore she doesn't like being called one. You should respect that.

She is not an infant.

She is not even a toddler.

She is a grade schooler .

AND,

She is not Your baby.

Uh, she's not a baby and stop calling her that? Even if you're using it as just a pet name, it's making her uncomfortable, she doesn't like it, and she has made it pretty clear she wants you to stop. So stop.

Oh, for heaven's sake. At her age, she does not want to be called anyone's baby. 

Call her Beautiful Girl or Sugar Muffin or whatever. Just call her something else.

First off "My", referes to her as a possession! You do not own her, she is not your property..... I know your intentions are good, but surely you realise how creepy this comes across as? 

Secondly, she is 7, she is not a baby! At 7 she is a child, one in which who does not want to be referred to as a "baby" She understands what you mean, she just doesn't feel comfortable with you referring to her as that... it seems you have difficulty understanding how to respect her.

Her parents might be comfortable with it, but she isn't - so stop calling her baby, think up another nickname for her like "sweetheart" or something - otherwise she will end up hating you

She's 7, and she knows her own mind.

She's not a baby; and she's making it clear to you that she doesn't want to be called a baby any more.
