Need to turn off my touchpad?
My touch pad works alright but I can't turn it off. There are no options in the mobility center and I can't turn it off with my Fn key shortcuts. The other options work fine though. The touch pad doesn't even show up in the device manager. What can I do to solve this problem? I need to turn it off because it interferes with the typing a lot.

Hi..
As your short cut ( Fn + F7 ) are not working you are most probably running the generic windows touch pad/ pointer driver..
Recommend you go to the manufacturers web site and down load there driver....
Additional driver options may also then be available to you to disable when typing..
(Available Driver options and settings will be Manufacturer dependent).
PS...
Available options for current installed driver can be found in Control panel > Hardware & Sound > Mouse....
But expect most likely "Disable" is not one of them.
