My laptop just fell off table, in fear of damage?

My cat just ran past my tv tray, and ripped my brand new Lenovo Y500 laptop right off onto the ground and dragged it around a bit, too. I have looked at the back, the sides, the front, the keyboards (as a matter of fact, I am using it to type this), pretty much EVERYTHING, and have tried using several programs, games, videos, stuff like that to make sure it is alright. Everything SEEMS fine, but I am severely afraid something is either broken, or nonfunctional, or... something, I don't know. One thing I am quite afraid of is long term damage. I am worried that something happened, like the keys loosened, and by the time I notice it, my warranty or WHATEVER is up, i really don't know what the warranty is on this. Please, if anyone can alleviate my fears, tell me some things to check out, some tests to do, anything, it would be much obliged!

if your warranty is already up then its not a brand new laptop

anyways most laptops these days can sense if its falling and will park the hard drive to brace for impact, as long as nothing is broken externally your fine on that end, as to the inside you won't know unless you dismantle it

  • Ha, yesterday I took an old macbook and lit it on fire and dropped it and hit it with an axe and it still worked. You really have nothing to worry about if nothing was seriously damaged initially. If you do have any issues or questions I can help you at Thisisnh9@gmail.com

If it works after all you are lucky person.worry when it stops working.

Usually mechanical problems show right away.
