I have been thinking about getting a new tube amp, but I need one that has a decent output without being too large. I am currently looking at a Fender Blues Junior (15 Watts tube), and I have had some people tell me that 15 watts of a tube amp is about as loud as a 80-90 watt solid state amp. Is this true, or does anyone have any particular experience with this amp? I need an amp that has an output of around 80-90 solid state watts because I have gotten involved with more gigs and jazz competitions and need something with a similar output. Do you have any suggestions for smaller sized amps with this type of output? I was also thinking of a Roland Cube 80, even though this is not a tube amp. Thanks in advance!

I am really looking for a way to make a little bit of cash making music, which is my complete passion. I have been taking guitar lessons since I was about 6, and have been studying music/jazz theory for YEARS. There are some things I would really love to save up for, but I can't really get a job. I am a teenager, and I don't have a car or anything I could use as transportation. I have been recording a lot lately, and I do a lot of improvisation with my Boss Digital looper and BR-800 recorder (not to mention my entire rig, which consists of many pedals on a pedal board, collection of amps, and so much more). I have invested a lot of money, time and thought into music in general, and have wanted since I was a little kid to be a musician when I grow up. There are some things I have thought of that actually kind of seem realistic. A lot of people tell me that I should go to places like farmers markets, set up and play with an open case. I have been told I could make a pretty decent pay doing that. Another thing I would love to do is start something like a youtube channel, and if I could get enough people to enjoy the music I post (Which would be a challenge and hard enough on its own), I could monetize my videos and collect revenue. But like I said, I am a teenager. Would I even legally be able to go to a place like a farmers market and play to collect money? Would I be able to collect revenue from sites like YouTube? What are the legalities of these scenarios, and what are any suggestions you might have? Making money doing something I love is great, but if I got out and really did something with music, I am know that would be really good to put on a college resume, and it would really stand out. Obviously, music is a hobby and a passion, and I am involved in it for fun, but if I could somehow make some saving money by playing, I would really be amazed. Thanks in advance!

I am just compiling a PC to build, and I have a specific CPU that looks pretty good. It seems like a pretty good CPU for gaming, but there is one problem: It has no hyperthreading. I've seen many places that say it doesn't really affect games, but video editing programs, modeling programs, photo editing programs, programs like those it might affect. I am an avid video editor (I mainly make 2:00-5:00 Videos though, YouTube Poops mainly), and I am starting to somewhat get into 3d modeling. Will having no hyperthreading in the CPU affect editing programs badly? For all I know, the other components of the PC will make it so there is no difference. Also note that it is not like I need videos rendered super fast or anything; my 6 Year old laptop rendered just fine. Do you think there would be any issues? I found a Xeon processor that looked really good, but a friend told me it probably wouldn't work on that computer, since it is a server processor. Is he wrong? (P.S. I mainly intend on gaming (this build seems like a really good gaming PC for the price), and video editing. Those are the main things I can think that no Hyper-Threading might affect). If you are also curious, I mainly use Sony Vegas Pro 9 and Photoshop/Gimp for editing, but I might go back to a few Adobe products like After Effects or Premiere Pro, but probably CS3.

My iphone says my photos take up about 500 mb (which isn't necessarily a lot...), but I only have about 18 photos. Why is this? I deleted over 100 pictures a little bit ago, and that didn't remove much of it. Why is this?

Right now, I'm just checking out some more pedals/effects to add to the collection. There are 2 pedals I'm curious about: The "Electro harmonix Micro Synth" and the "Bass Micro Synth". I honestly really like the "bass-y-er", lower octave sound that the bass synth produces compared to the regular guitar synth (Obviously I am using this on a guitar, and not a bass). Kind of like using a bass wah. It still does what a normal Wah Pedal would do, but it drops that pitch, and gives a bit of a different tone and feel to it as well. I like that deep synth sound you get with the demos I've seen on the bass synth, and I am wondering if it will sound fine on a guitar, and I want to ensure it won't damage my pedals, amp, guitar, etc. Will a bass pedal (or more particularly, this pedal) work on a regular guitar? I would like to know before I drop $300+ on a bass pedal, to find out it doesn't work. Thanks in advance!

Earlier today, I was using my wireless mouse just fine, and then it got slow for some reason. EXTREMELY SLOW at scrolling. I looked at the mouse "vertical speed", which was set at "3". I put that up a lot higher, I think now it's set at 100. So, that's weird, and I would really like to know what it is originally set at. But now, when I open the video editor Vegas Pro 9, I can't zoom in with the mouse wheel. If I hold the mouse wheel and scroll, I can move it side to side, but I can't scroll and zoom in the timeline. What happened?

I am pretty OCD about this stuff. I was just scrolling around on my computer, and then it just slowed down. I checked my "vertical scrolling speed" under my mouse properties, and it was set to "3". What is the normal setting at? I could see it being 100, 50, 35, a lot of things. Yes, I know, some might say "just choose one you like", but I can't, I prefer the base setting (if you are OCD about this stuff, you'll understand). Yes, I know, I am using Windows 8. But, when a $1300 laptop goes on sale for $750, you buy it, no matter what OS.

I am working on a Skyrim custom house mod in Creation kit, and put in a chest. I deleted it's item list and put custom objects in, but now I need that reverted (I deleted the things that made it randomly generate items). I have moved to far to simply hit "ctrl+z", and CANNOT figure out how to revert the chests' items list back to normal. How would I go about doing this?

So, I am making a Skyrim custom house mod in creation kit. I added a few draugr chests in my house, and deleted the stuff already in them that makes it give you random things (I replaced them with Daedric items). These work fine in my house, and contain everything I want them to. But, here is the problem: every single draugr chest now only contains the items I selected for my home. Every draugr chest I encounter has the same exact daedric items, but every other chest carries the randomly generated items, that's what I want. Is there a way for me to only make the chests in my home custom and make all the other draugr chests normal again?

Well, I am trying to run GTA San Andreas on Steam, but it wont run. I got it to run once, but I can't anymore. Right now I am viewing it's integrity, and I still haven't tried to restart my computer. I am running on Windows 8, could that cause any problems? If I click on it once, nothing happens. if I double+ click it, it says "failed to open (app already running)" or something like that. No, I am not stupid. It's very obvious that there is no way that you can get microsoft points free for doing absolutely nothing, and i am not asking for that. Honestly, I just want to find something like Bing rewards, where you are rewarded for doing things, like searches (but quite honestly, am looking for something that doesn't take that long, and could get me about 800 MPs fairly fast). I know there are sites like "points2share", but i don't want to use websites that make you fill out survey's with your actual information, or send you the points through actual mail, but rather email. Anyone know of some sites that don't take very long to accumulate about 800 or so MPs somewhat fast? That don't need very much-no personal info, no downloads necessary, and just email you the points? My cat just ran past my tv tray, and ripped my brand new Lenovo Y500 laptop right off onto the ground and dragged it around a bit, too. I have looked at the back, the sides, the front, the keyboards (as a matter of fact, I am using it to type this), pretty much EVERYTHING, and have tried using several programs, games, videos, stuff like that to make sure it is alright. Everything SEEMS fine, but I am severely afraid something is either broken, or nonfunctional, or... something, I don't know. One thing I am quite afraid of is long term damage. I am worried that something happened, like the keys loosened, and by the time I notice it, my warranty or WHATEVER is up, i really don't know what the warranty is on this. Please, if anyone can alleviate my fears, tell me some things to check out, some tests to do, anything, it would be much obliged!

So, today I found out that if my Lenovo Y500 will not run games well (Skyrim, I haven't tried any others) if it is not plugged in and charging. If the laptop is charging, it will run games beautifully, but if it is not, games run horrible. Why is it dependent on charging status? Has anyone else had this problem? Any solutions?

One reason i purchased this laptop is because it's acclaimed as being an excellent Gaming laptop, and that's what I wanted. So, as I tried to run Skyrim today, It ran HORRIBLE. I had it set on low-high settings, and it still was terrible. I see all these videos of people playing it on high settings, but I can't run it good on LOW.... I am extremely angry because I may have just invested $800+ into something that doesn't do what I want it too, and I feel like a wasteful fool. But, come on! With all the video evidence out there, I must not be doing something right. Any insight or thoughts?

I cannot, to save my life, find a gaming laptop to my specs that is about $800. Here is what I am looking for:

1) Up to or under $800 (obviously)

2) (Preferably) Comes with 8 GB of ram, possibly up-gradable to 16 or so (maybe even 32 or so, but that is not necessary.)

3) A really nice Graphics card, like a GeForce GT 660-670... (Maybe not necessarily that much OR that little, but it needs to run lots of things and games, not just simple stuff like minecraft P.S. I am pretty sure those are really good, hopefully I am not writing the wrong GeForce cards... )

4) possibly about 2-4 GB of video memory for the video card

5) preferably 750 GB of storage memory, 1TB would be REALLY AWESOME, 500 GB would still be acceptable, but nothing under that, please...

6) Try to get as close to 3.0 GHz as possible, or more, this IS supposed to do high performance stuff.

7) Is capable of doing things like game creation, video-photo editing, modeling, stuff like that (along with Gaming, of course)

8) Runs games likes Skyrim, Fallout, GMOD, TF2, Call of Duty, GTA, stuff like that

9) 64-Bit

Hopefully I'm not asking for too much (everyone knows I am, of course), and hopefully I have provided enough information to give you some ideas. Now, if it's over $800 that's still fine; just, because I am not made of money, try to not let it get into $900 or so bucks. I do realize what I am asking for is quite implausible, and I have turned to Yahoo Answers because of that; I cannot, for the life of me, find a laptop that can video-photo edit, game, create games, render video, model, etc. for the life of me that has specs capable of that, and actually the 6 year old laptop I am using now can do better than a lot of new laptops I've seen, I'm afraid. This doesn't necessarily have to be a GAMING laptop, just has to perform what I want (Photo-video, gaming, I have already said these a billion times). Thanks in advance!

I have already inquired about this laptop a bit here, but I want some more clarification. I plan on getting a laptop soon, and I plan on doing a lot of video- photo editing, game creation, and game playing. This laptop looks really nice, and looks very well for overall things, but I know it has a "Mobile Intel HD" graphics card, which I don't like very much. Since the only thing this would mostly affect is things like playing games, how well would this Graphics card play a game like Skyrim? I plan on playing games like Skyrim, fallout, Minecraft, GMOD, TF2, stuff like that, and I want to make sure this can handle it before I blow $800 bucks on it. I like this laptop for its processing capabilities, storage, its price, and whatnot. So, do you think this laptop can handle those games? Also, if you think there is a better laptop to suit these needs (remember, I plan on doing things like video and photo editing too!), than if you could please suggestion and maybe leave a link to, it would be much obliged. Also, try to keep it in the $600-$800ish range, and if you can, try to keep things like the processing, RAM, and whatnot similar to this,because besides the Graphics card, I really think this is an amazing machine! I am considering getting the Toshiba Satellite model P875-S7102 (Check it out on Best Buy's website), and I intend on doing a lot of gaming, game development, photo and video editing, yada yada yada you get it, right? So, I know with these specs it will be able to pull off all of this, but I am a bit worried about it's gaming capabilities. Is this model good for gaming? With it's processing, Gigahertz, and RAM possibilities (coming with 8 GB of Ram, expandable to 32!), That is VERY promising, but the graphics cards and whatnot scares me a bit, but not much. I am running on a 6 or so year old laptop, so I obviously am not necessarily up to date with much of what would be good for gaming, but I am pretty sure this model is pretty good for everything. When i woke up this morning I felt fine. Throughout the day, I noticed that my ear started to hurt, but I shrugged it off. Halfway through the day, my left ear was in serious pain and felt and sounded very clogged and pressurized, and my throat hurt too, and the pain would constantly increase or decrease, but the clogged, pressurized feeling never left. Finally, my ear is now not in pain, but it still feels clogged. I've tried putting ear drops in, cleaning my ear to the bone, but nothing is working. I didn't think it was earwax because of the pain involved, but once the pain was over, I thought I might as well try to clean any wax that could possibly be in there out, but no luck. This has obviously happened to other people, and a kid from my school said that they felt the same thing, in the same exact ear. Can anyone give me some help? I am thinking about putting some hydrogen peroxide in my ear, do you think that would help? Please, any suggestions would help, it is very annoying, it makes it hard for me to hear things, and it would be much obliged!

So, up until now, I have been smithing for a bit on a Skyrim profile a started a little while ago (Xbox 360). The forges worked fine, until now. Every time I try to use the blacksmith forge, tanning rack, Grindstone, etc. my character simply stands there (it puts me in a 3rd person view as well), and stares at the device for a few seconds and then it returns to normal. All-in-all, I can't use these devices any more. Could my save be corrupted? I really don't want to resort to making a new profile like this one, because I have put a lot of time into it. Could I possibly just restart the game? I don't know why it's doing this, has anyone had this problem too? Maybe i shouldn't necessarily say they aren't working, just in the last few minutes they have been doing this.Any suggestions would be appreciated, Thanks in advance!
